Trapped in a late rising family

My family doesn't share my interest in early rising. This wet morning in OK we need to get up and go early to travel but it'll be a slow go. The teenager was pried out of bed to shower without too much whining. My wife grabbed her book and began to read. The light she's using woke my daughter and now she's up, too. So we are moving. Not a miracle, but perhaps an answered prayer. Nine and a half hours of drive time, plus questionable weather and time for stops and it'll be bedtime when we hit the front door of our home in NM.

We don't get much time together like this. It takes a few days to begin to enjoy it. We don't give it up easily. That's part of our reluctance to get on the road. Our regular routine awaits us at the end of the day. It'll be back to normal. Unless we learn from all this...
