Our Lady of the Olentangy - or - St. Brutus pray for me!

Check out the picture below of a typical Ohio State University football game. It's nuts. There are 103, 000 people, or so gathered to witness each game. What church wouldn't give it's gold plated altar cross to have so many in worship during the week, let alone tithe to the cause?!

I would like to posit the theory that sports, in particular college football, is like a religion unto itself. It has music (the band), a worship leader (the announcer), and a kick-butt message (the game) every time. Hey, with the national anthem we could even be said to pray in a secular sort of way. I don't think God would want us to be quite so worked up for worship as we are for the big game (say, OSU vs. Michigan), but I may be wrong about that, too.
